Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams (born on 20th August, 1974 in Aviano, Italy). American actress. Known for playing naive delightful characters. Adams was a seventh 7-year-old living in Castle Rock Colorado. She began dancing and acting professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later at the Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she relocated to Minnesota where she was scouted for Drop Dead Gorgeous, a documentary mock film that focused on beauty contests. The film's debut on screen was a bright-eyed but sweet contestant. Then, she relocated her home to Los Angeles in order to make a name for herself acting. She was married to the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 to September 1962 and the mother of Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. Discovered by the actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a contract with MGM and started her career in film in the late 1940s. She starred in a number of films that became popular over the decade that followed, including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (from the year 1960) and Living It Up (1954), starring Martin Lewis.
