Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, at Puy-deDomme, France on the 9th of August 1976. Audrey is the largest child of 4 children. At a young age, her dental doctor parents as well as her teacher mother supported Audrey's love of theatre and drama. It was this love that overshadowed her initial wish to become a an animal scientist. Her fame grew as an actress in her early years and enjoyed huge popularity and success. When she finished her education, she participated in the French television show that scouts talent Jeunes Premiers which was backed by Canal+. She won the Most Outstanding Young Actress award at Beziers Festival of Young Actors and began her career as an actress. Tautou was born into an Catholic home, and was a member of the religious services, despite having was a student at the Institut Catholique de Paris. Alongside her acting career she also pursued modelling. She modelled of L'Oreal Mont Blanc, Chanel and has been referred as "The Chanel Muse". Photographing is also a hobby and she has recently displayed her work at the Arles festival under the name Superficial. Her work is focused on celebrities as well as popularity. The exhibition also includes portraits of herself and particular focus on the media that has been watching Tautou's career since her dramatic popularity after Amelie. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and stardom with her major role in Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie is undoubtedly a huge box office smash internationally and recognized at many awards shows around the world. Amelie is the most successful film that is French-speak in the US. The following year, she appeared in British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's The long day of the fiancailles. In the following year, she moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
